Check the bird and usable measurements first

Use the documented cage as a starting point, then compare the bird, clear gaps, usable space, construction and daily-care layout.

304 stainless steel cages for shamas and magpie-robins

White-rumped shamas and Oriental magpie-robins belong to the same genus, but a cage should not be ordered from the shared Vietnamese word chòe alone. The workshop needs the full bird name, the individual bird’s size and tail condition, the intended time in the cage and the planned perch, feeder and door arrangement.

The English category deliberately lists only the current active product. Older references that are not shown as available on the Vietnamese category are not presented as orderable English products.

English and Vietnamese bird names

English name Scientific name Vietnamese name Planning note
White-rumped Shama Copsychus malabaricus Chích chòe lửa A long-tailed songbird; perch position and clear tail space need careful review.
Oriental Magpie-Robin Copsychus saularis Chích chòe than A medium-sized robin; turning room, perch clearance and service access are reviewed together.

Current made-to-order cage

Model Confirmed information Confirm before ordering
45 × 65 cm custom stainless steel cage 304 stainless steel; listed size 45 × 65 cm; square made-to-order format The order of the two listed dimensions, the third external dimension, bar diameter and spacing, door gaps, tray direction, perches, feeding cups and other accessories.

The 45 × 65 cm listing describes part of the external envelope, not a universal shama or magpie-robin standard. A final specification is agreed for the actual bird and installation area. No unpublished dimension or included accessory should be assumed.

Why the two species require separate review

The white-rumped shama has a long graduated tail, so a useful layout must preserve tail clearance at the selected perch heights and during normal turning. The Oriental magpie-robin has different proportions and movement patterns. Even when the same external cage size is considered, perch diameter, perch separation, bar gaps and feeder placement can change.

Customers should send the full species name and a current photo when possible. If the cage is also intended for a bulbul, starling, dove or another bird, the workshop reviews that use separately rather than assuming one arrangement is suitable for every species.

Bar spacing, doors and secondary gaps

External cage dimensions do not determine bar safety. Confirm the main bar spacing, bar diameter, door gaps, feeder openings, tray clearances and every secondary opening against the intended adult bird. Door placement should allow feeding and cleaning without forcing the main perch, cups and movement route into the same crowded area.

Perches, feeders and tail clearance

Perches should be stable and positioned so the bird can turn and move without repeatedly contacting the roof, floor, bars or feeding cups. For a long-tailed shama, check the tail path from every principal perch. Keep daily service points accessible so water, food and the tray can be handled with minimal disturbance.

304 stainless steel and routine cleaning

The stainless steel structure is practical for regular wiping and washing. Remove food and waste residue promptly, use a bird-safe cleaning method, rinse away cleaning residue and let the cage dry before returning the bird. During cleaning, inspect locks, welds, tray guides, perch stability and all bird-contact edges.

Made-to-order options

Bật Mạnh can review changes to the external dimensions, doors, bar spacing, perch positions, feeder access, tray direction, base, roof and accessories. Each change can affect material use, balance, packaging, price and production time. The agreed drawing or written specification is confirmed before fabrication.

Frequently asked questions

Is a white-rumped shama the same bird as an Oriental magpie-robin?

No. White-rumped shama is the English name for Copsychus malabaricus, called chích chòe lửa in Vietnam. Oriental magpie-robin is Copsychus saularis, called chích chòe than.

Is 45 × 65 cm suitable for every shama or magpie-robin?

No single external size should be treated as suitable for every individual or routine. The complete dimensions, internal layout, bar gaps and intended use must be confirmed together.

Does the English page have a separate price?

No. The English category links to the same WooCommerce product as the Vietnamese site, so price, stock, images and order data remain synchronised.

Does Bật Mạnh sell birds?

No. Bật Mạnh manufactures cages. Customers are responsible for lawful sourcing and for following the wildlife, keeping, transport and import rules that apply in their location.
