Check the bird and usable measurements first
Use the documented cage as a starting point, then compare the bird, clear gaps, usable space, construction and daily-care layout.
304 stainless steel cages for white-eyes, sunbirds and similarly small birds
Small songbirds need more than a visually compact cage. Bar spacing, door gaps and feeder openings must reduce the risk of escape or entrapment, while the internal layout should leave enough clear room for the bird to turn, hop between perches and use its feeders without constant obstruction.
Bật Mạnh currently offers two different directions for this bird group: a taller square cage for a compact footprint and a longer horizontal cage that provides greater separation between principal perches. Both are made at our workshop in Hung Yen, Vietnam.
Compare the two current cage formats
| Model | Reference dimensions | Bars and spacing | Best planning direction |
|---|---|---|---|
| Square double-roof cage | 27 × 27 × 42 cm | Approximately 1.8 mm bars and 10 mm spacing | A compact base with more vertical room; supplied with a perch, feeding cups and a cage cover. |
| Horizontal flight cage | 50 × 30 × 30 cm | Approximately 1.8 mm bars and 10 mm spacing | A longer route between principal perches while remaining practical to carry and clean. |
The dimensions above describe the completed products. They should not be treated as a blanket minimum or maximum for every white-eye, sunbird or other small species. Please identify the bird clearly when asking for advice.
Choosing between a taller square cage and a horizontal cage
The 27 × 27 × 42 cm model uses less shelf or hanging space and has a taller double-roof profile. It suits customers who want a compact cage with the supplied basic accessories. The 50 × 30 × 30 cm model prioritises horizontal length and allows the main perches to be positioned farther apart.
Neither direction is automatically correct for every bird or every daily routine. Consider how long the bird will remain in the cage, its tail and wing clearance, the intended perch positions, feeder access and whether the cage will be moved frequently.
Bar spacing is a safety specification
The approximately 10 mm spacing on these two models is a reference from the actual products. The workshop also checks the spaces around doors, feeder openings and removable components. A cage can have suitable main bars but still create risk if a secondary gap is too wide for the individual bird.
- Provide the accepted bird name and, where possible, a clear photograph.
- Confirm whether the bird is fully grown.
- Tell the workshop if the cage is intended for another very small species.
- Do not assume that every bird sold under a similar common name has the same body size.
Perches, feeders and clear internal space
A compact cage should not be filled with unnecessary accessories. Principal perches should give the bird a useful movement route and sufficient tail clearance. Feeding cups need to be easy to reach for daily service without forcing the bird through an open main door. For nectar-feeding birds, surfaces around the cups should be checked frequently because sweet liquid and fruit residue can soil the cage more quickly.
The supplied perch, feeding cups and cage cover on the 27 cm model are part of the listed configuration. If different accessories or positions are required, they should be agreed before fabrication or dispatch.
Why use 304 stainless steel?
304 stainless steel provides a durable, unpainted surface that is suitable for routine wiping and washing. It is especially practical around nectar, water and fruit when residue is removed promptly. The material does not remove the need for care: trays, bars, perches and feeders should still be cleaned regularly and dried after washing.
Custom options
Bật Mạnh can review changes to the external dimensions, door position, perch arrangement and feeder access. Any change may affect material use, construction time, packaging and price. A custom request should include the bird species, preferred dimensions, installation or hanging location and delivery destination.
Frequently asked questions
Can the 27 × 27 × 42 cm cage be used for a white-eye?
It may be considered for white-eyes and similarly small birds, but suitability should be confirmed for the individual bird. The 10 mm reference spacing, door gaps, accessories and intended time in the cage all need to be reviewed together.
What is the difference between this category and the flight-cage category?
This category groups compact cages intended for white-eyes, sunbirds and similar small birds. The flight-cage category is organised by the longer movement format and also includes modular cages for other small and medium songbirds.
Are the listed prices shared with the Vietnamese products?
Yes. Each English page uses the same WooCommerce product, price, stock status, images and order data as its Vietnamese page. Only the English content and URL are separate.
Can Bật Mạnh change the bar spacing?
The workshop can review a different specification for a clearly identified bird. Bar spacing, bar diameter, door gaps and construction are quoted together rather than changed in isolation.
