Custom 304 stainless steel parrot cages from Vietnam
English-speaking customers may search for a parrot cage, bird cage, indoor enclosure, play-top cage or multi-compartment cage system. Whatever term is used, the order must begin with the exact parrot species and the available installation space. A tall cabinet shape alone does not guarantee enough lateral room, and a published bar diameter is not the same as the clear space between bars.
The current catalogue shows two completed configurations. Bật Mạnh can review larger or differently proportioned made-to-order cages for African greys, Amazons, cockatoos, macaws, conures, caiques, parrotlets, lovebirds, cockatiels and other parrots, but no species is assigned to a product until its full specification is checked.
Compare the two current parrot-cage builds
| Product | Confirmed workshop specification | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|
| 60 × 60 × 150 cm parrot cage | 304 stainless steel; 60 cm wide × 60 cm deep × 150 cm high (23.6 × 23.6 × 59.1 in); solid 3 mm bars; drilled frame with inserted bars; pull-out waste tray; locking castors; perches, stainless bowls, ladder and upper play area in the photographed build. | The clear bar spacing is not published. Width, depth, bar gap, bar strength, locks and accessories must be matched to the identified bird. |
| Five-compartment parrot cage system | Five separate compartments; each 50 × 50 × 80 cm (19.7 × 19.7 × 31.5 in); solid 3 mm bars; approximately 19 mm (0.75 in) clear spacing; individual waste trays, heaters and switches; stainless partitions; clear acrylic back and acrylic-covered barred roof. | The total assembled dimensions are not published. The 19 mm gap and each compartment’s floor area are reference specifications, not a recommendation for every parrot. |
Cage size and bar spacing must be selected together
International veterinary and welfare references group parrots differently because one number cannot cover every species. The Merck Veterinary Manual table lists different minimum cage dimensions and bar spacings for small parrots, conures and caiques, African greys and Amazons, and large macaws or cockatoos. The Animal Welfare Victoria code also links floor area and height to bird length and states that the shorter cage dimension should allow for the largest bird’s wingspan.
These references are useful checks, but the buyer remains responsible for the rules that apply where the cage will be used. Bật Mạnh does not present 60 × 60 × 150 cm, 50 × 50 × 80 cm or 19 mm spacing as a universal minimum, maximum or safe fit. Larger parrots and strong chewers normally require a wider and deeper custom body, heavier bars, stronger welds and locks, and more clearance than either current reference build.
What to measure before requesting a custom cage
- Bird: accepted species name, adult body length, wingspan, tail length, beak strength, mobility and any veterinary requirement.
- Use: permanent indoor housing, sleeping cage, supervised daytime station, temporary separation, shop display or another clearly defined routine.
- Space: maximum width, depth and height; doorways, stairs, lifts, corners and the route for the finished cage or modules.
- Openings: measured clear bar gap plus every gap around main doors, feeder doors, tray rails, roof details and partitions.
- Daily service: door swing, removable trays, bowl access, perch changes, toy attachment points and room to clean behind and below the cage.
Bars, welds, locks and bird-accessible hardware
Both current products use solid 304 stainless steel bars with a published 3 mm diameter. Bar diameter describes the metal, while bar spacing describes the open gap. The first product does not publish its gap; the second records approximately 19 mm. Every opening must be checked so the bird cannot force its head through, become trapped or reach an unsafe component.
Parrots can manipulate simple latches and place substantial force on bars, doors and accessories. The final review therefore covers lock type, hinges, feeder doors, exposed fasteners, weld finish, bar ends and the strength required for the individual bird. An exterior play-top is for supervised use in a secure room; it is not a substitute for an enclosed cage.
Perches, bowls, toys and usable internal space
Accessories should support climbing, resting, feeding and enrichment without filling the central movement area. Perch diameter and surface should suit the bird’s feet, with more than one useful position and enough tail, wing and head clearance. Bowls should remain accessible without being directly beneath a preferred perch. Toys and quick links must be bird-safe, correctly closed and positioned away from pinch or entanglement points.
A taller cage can offer several climbing levels, but height does not replace width and depth. The 60 × 60 cm footprint must be assessed separately from the 150 cm height. For a larger parrot, Bật Mạnh can review a wider custom body or an aviary-style enclosure rather than scaling accessories into an unsuitable footprint.
Waste trays, castors and cleaning access
Pull-out trays allow waste to be removed without moving the complete cage. The tray direction, floor grate, clearance from waste, hand-contact edges and space needed for full removal should be confirmed before production. Locking castors help position the 60 × 60 × 150 cm model on a level floor; all castors should be locked after moving, and doors and loose accessories should be secured first.
304 stainless steel can be washed and wiped regularly. Use a cleaning method suitable for birds, rinse away residue and allow the cage to dry. Inspect welds, locks, wheels, tray guides, bowls, perches and all accessible edges during routine cleaning.
Heating and acrylic panels in the five-compartment system
The photographed five-compartment build has one heater and switch per compartment, wiring routed in PVC conduit, a clear acrylic back and a barred roof covered by acrylic. These are documented features of that build, not a standard requirement for every parrot cage. Acrylic coverage must retain adequate ventilation and allow cleaning; panels should not create an overheated or poorly ventilated compartment.
Any heater requires a species- and climate-specific temperature plan. The heater, guard, cable route, controls and every electrical part must remain inaccessible to the bird. For an overseas order, voltage, frequency, plug, earthing, controls and local electrical compliance must be agreed before fabrication and checked by a qualified person at the destination. Bật Mạnh does not assume that the Vietnamese electrical configuration can be connected unchanged in another country.
Ordering from outside Vietnam
Please provide the destination country and postal code, preferred metric and inch dimensions, access-route measurements and whether the cage may be modular for freight. Packaging, freight, import duties, taxes, local installation and electrical certification are quoted or arranged separately as applicable. A drawing or written specification should identify exactly what is included before production begins.
Frequently asked questions
Is the 60 × 60 × 150 cm cage suitable for an African grey, Amazon, cockatoo or macaw?
No blanket claim is made. The 60 cm width and depth, unpublished bar gap, 3 mm bars and lock design must be assessed against the individual bird and local welfare guidance. Larger parrots will often require a substantially wider, deeper and more heavily constructed custom enclosure.
Does a 19 mm bar gap suit every small or medium parrot?
No. Approximately 19 mm (0.75 in) is the measured reference gap in the five-compartment build. It can be too wide for some smaller parrots, while the compartment itself can be too small for larger parrots. Species, head size, age, mobility and every secondary gap must be reviewed.
Is the price shown in US dollars, pounds or Australian dollars?
No. The English pages use the same WooCommerce product records as the Vietnamese site. The current VND price or “Contact for quote” status remains synchronised; international freight, taxes and any currency conversion are confirmed separately.
Can Bật Mạnh make a larger custom parrot cage?
Yes. Width, depth, height, bar spacing, bar diameter, doors, locks, trays, castors, partitions, acrylic and accessories can be reviewed for a defined bird and installation. The final design, price and production schedule are agreed before fabrication.
